Rowing On The Thames, Watercolour.
A well painted watercolour of a rowing scene on the river Thames. A rowing four can be seen on the river rowing past 'Goodman' & Parkins' boathouses. The painting is showing a scene of the Eton boathouses circa 1880's. An almost identical image of the boathouse painting can be seen on page 82 of 'The Eton Book of the River' by L.S.R. Byrne & E.L. Churchill. The hoardings on the boathouse's read 'Goodman, Boat Builder & H. Parkins, Boat Builder, Boats Let or Sold'.
