Japanese Observation Binoculars, 15 X 80
A large pair of Japanese ex-navy observation binoculars mounted on a vintage adjustable wooden tripod. The tripod manufactured by Wild, Heerbrugg, Switzerland. The marine binoculars with 4º incline eyepieces are marked 'FUJI, Meibo, -15 X 80 4º-, No. 4984, Fuji Photo Optical Co. Ltd, Made in Japan'. These binoculars are predominately used for viewing the horizon, the optics give outstanding visual clarity and are equal to any similar modern binocular. The eyepieces can be adjusted for focus as can the interpupillary distance. These wonderful Japanese binoculars have been stripped and polished and are fully restored to original working order.
The measurements are without the tripod.
