Bull Dog Head Walking Cane.
Early 20th Century walking stick with an automaton dog head. The handle is a carved bulldog head, finely detailed, having inset amber glass eyes and spring-loaded opening mouth. The bull dog head mounted on malacca cane with a silver collar hallmarked London 1901, with the makers mark 'CP'. Opening the dogs mouth exposes a red tongue, the roof of the mouth and a few teeth to the lower jaw.
