Antique hunting mixed-method engraving of a pair of Setters after the original art work by Heywood Hardy. An artist's proof engraved by Joseph Bishop Pratt (1854-1910) and published by Thomas Agnew & Sons. This wonderful large and impressive dog picture is framed in original oak frame with gold slip and signed in pencil beneath the image by both the artist and the engraver with a Printseller's Association blindstamp. Printed above top margin 'Published 1904 by Thos. Agnew & Sons, 39b Old Bond Street, London, Liverpool & Manchester Copyright'. There were just 100 signed proofs and the price they retailed for around £10 gns.
