Vintage Snaffles First World War Print, Wipers.
A good Snaffles WWI military print entitled 'Wipers'. The main center colour-piece hand coloured lithograph is mounted onto the printed remarque board. The Snaffles lithograph shows a wounded soldier standing in front of the burnt Cloth Hall of Ypres with a German 'pickelhaube' impaled on his bayonet. In the bottom margin is a remarque depicting the dead lying in the mud. This Charles "Snaffles" Johnson Payne (1884 1967) framed picture is in excellent condition with the Snaffles blindstamp (a bridle bit) in the bottom right hand corner.
