Billiard Engraving after Henry Bunbury.
A framed and mounted stipple engraving after Henry Bunbury entitled "Billiards". The characterised picture depicts a group of men in the throws of a billiard match. Note they are playing with a more conventional cue rather than the mace or spoon (push cue) that can be seen in the rack on the wall. Printed in the bottom margin 'H.Bunbury Esq.r Delin.t. Watson & Dickinson Excud.t. London, Publish'd Nov.r 15th 1780 by Watson & Dickinson, No. 158 New Bond Street'.
There is an accompanying engraving also called 'Billiards', stock No. 26319.
Henry William Bunbury (1750 – 1811) was a well known and collectable English caricaturist.
