An excellent carved model of a Sea trout on board, beautifully executed and painted to a high standard using silver leaf to show the shimmering fish scales. The fish is on it's original oak board. The inscription reads Sea Trout 9lbs: (male) caught by Harold Egginton, in the Ash Tree Pool, Newbridge, River Teign, May 29th 1946. With the fish is a letter written by Lt.Col.J.Creagh Scott to Harold Eggington re. the age of the fish and an envelope with some scales.
The back of the fish has, in ink:
