Jaques 'Oxford' Croquet Set.
A Jaques garden croquet set in original pine box with four brass bound ash mallets. To complete the set there are four coloured balls in the standard croquet colours, six bent metal hoops, four sprung clips, four coloured metal boundary pegs, one winning post and a Jaques simplified Croquet rule booklet. The lid has a Jaques paper label on the inside and on the outside it is stenciled 'Jaques Croquet, London' to the front and lid, '71120' is on one side. The mallets are 38 inches in length and are Jaques' '71121 Oxford Mallets' made of prime English ash, mallet heads still with labels.
A great garden croquet set.
The Oxford Croquet mallet is made to order costing £149.99 each. It features a traditional octagonal Ash handle to help a player find the correct alignment of a shot and is fitted with brass reinforcing rings on the head that add weight while helping protect the mallet faces from damage by miss hit shots. The Oxford mallet faces are scored with concentric rings that aid the playing of stop shots and follow through roll shots. A great set.
