An extremely rare Cadbury's advertising poster by Cecil Aldin of exceptional large proportions. The striking framed chromolithograph coaching poster is a beautiful and colourful illustration, it is in good condition but with some visible folding creases. It is such a detailed coaching scene and is among the best known of Aldin's posters. It is done in the typical style that Aldin was known and loved for, with flourishes of humour. Printed by Bemrose & Sons Ltd., Derby, London & Manley, 'Cadbury's Cocoa, The Oldest And Still The Best, Absolutely Pure Cocoa'.
To find any original poster of this scale and period, and complete, is exceptionally rare and Aldin's posters hardly ever come to the market - we are not aware of another example of this, surely one of his finest early works.
