Regimental Depot Box With Six Polo Mallets.
A British Army wooden depot box painted white and stencilled with green paint 'CEB WALWYN REGIMENTAL DEPOT GLOUCESTER RECT GLOUCESTER'. The box contains six late 19th Century polo mallets with cigar shaped ash heads (five covered in vellum) and with mallacca cane shafts. They are in good condition with original handles, five with black bands and yellow numbers, 49, 49, 50, 51 & 51. Two are made by 'May & Co. Ltd., Nairobi (Kenya Colony) and two look like the have remains of a regimental decal on them.
