Rare Cecil Aldin Print - Here's to the Fox
An original Cecil Aldin Goupil Gravure, presented in its original glazed mahogany frame. This scarce and highly sought-after print depicts a hunting gentleman relaxing in a Windsor chair before a roaring fire, raising a toast to the fox mask displayed above the mantelpiece. Still dressed in his hunting pinks but having exchanged his riding boots for comfortable slippers, he is accompanied by his faithful hound at his side.

A wonderful example of Aldin's ability to capture the warmth, humour and traditions of English country life, the print is presented in good, clean condition.

Frame size: 51 cm high by 52 cm wide.

Goupil Gravure
The Goupil Gravure was a refined photogravure process developed by Henri Rousselon of Goupil & Cie in France in 1872. Renowned for its rich, velvety blacks, subtle tonal gradations and exceptional image clarity, the process was widely used to produce high-quality art reproductions and remains highly regarded by collectors today.
