4" Patent Lever Salmon Fly Fishing Reel By Farlow
Farlow's Patent Lever Salmon Reel.
A very good 4" salmon fly fishing reel by Charles Farlow, London. The patent reel with four brass pillars, one with free rotating brass sleeve, alloy face plate with single horn handle, alloy foot and fitted with ratchet check. The back plate engraved 'Patent Lever No. 1263, C. Farlow & Co., Makers 191, Strand, London'. The back plate fitted with a half coin brake adjuster which can be regulated to any stiffness at will. The regulating screw on the outside of the reel can easily be turned with the thumb and finger to produce or lessen the amount of pressure required.
Shown depth of the reel is 5 cm without the handle, handle is an extra 2.7 cm.
