Antique Malloch Side casting Fishing Reel.
A rare sized (2,5") Malloch of Perth side casting fishing reel of fine quality and in excellent condition. The reel is all brass, with optional check, exchangeable drum and small black horn handle. The large guide eye remains stationary on the fixed arm allowing the line to pass through in which ever position the reel is being used. The convex surface on the flange on the casting side assists in the escape of the line. The Malloch's Patent oval logo is stamped on the winding plate.
