Victorian E. Paton Fly Fishing Salmon Reel.
A wonderful, rare rosewood salmon fishing reel with brass columns, foot plate. winding and back plate. The front winding plate with Paton of Perth Crown stamp and engraved with initials 'J.M.G' and the number 2 in 'Old English Font'. The rim of the wood on the reel edged with brass and it is fitted with smooth constant check.
6 ½ cm deep excluding handle (9 cm with).

Good, with good check, winds well and sounds great. Two small little splits on the wood on the inside rim. The foot with some wear and a later wooden handle.
