Hardy "The De-luxe" 9ft Palakona Fishing Rod.
A beautifully 3 piece 9' split cane fly fishing rod by Hardy of Alnwick. The rod is in good condition with the registration number E73744, dating it to 1950 - 51. It has the inscription spiralling around the rod, 'The Deluxe Rod. Palakona Regd'. The rod is a 3 piece rod with the original spare tip, canvas bag, bronze ferrules, suction joints, wood stoppers, cork handle with alloy screw reel fitting. Hardy were the first manufacturer to make split cane rods in hexagonal form as The Hardy 'Palakona' rod.
Measurements of the four pieces, handle 1m - 2nd piece 1m - tip No.1 97cm - tip no.2 97cm.
