Antique Carpenter's Workbench, Joh. Weiss & Sohn.
A wonderful small work bench with solid beech wood top and legs. The bench has one vice on the right hand side. The top leading edge is drilled with square holes for use with the two metal bench dogs. The base is constructed with mortise and tenon joints held together with metal bolts so that it can easily be dismantled. The bench is in a used condition but not so much as to make it an untidy piece of furniture, it would work just as well at home as a hall table or maybe a kitchen work table. there is a brass plaque on the bench 'Joh. Weiss & Sohn, Werkzeugfabrik, Wien'.
