Mahogany Drop Leaf Table.
A nice drop leaf side table made in mahogany. The table with solid rectangular top, having two drop-leaves, with good colour and patination. Standing on square tapering legs, the legs have a gate leg action to support the leaves when open. A good usable table when extended.
Closed measurements 72 cm high, 43 cm wide & 91 cm deep.
There is a paper label glued to the underside, 'Mahogany Table - The table was owned by James Spall of Skinners Place who died in 1879, and it went with his widow to the Windmill House. At her death it was bought by her nephew, Henry Kelsey, and went to Henden Ede Hill. When he sailed for New Zealand the table was bought by his brother William Kelsey and went to Delaware and when he moved to Skinner's the table went with him back to its old home at Skinners parlour. It was sold in the .............mber 20th 1940 and was bought by.................'. Some of the paper is missing.
