Antique Oak Pedestal Desk With Leather Top.
Antique Oak Pedestal Desk With Leather Top.
Freestanding Kneehole Panelled Pedestal Desk.
A fine large antique rectangular oak writing pedestal desk rather unusually finished with ball and claw feet. The rectangular carved top has been finished with new white leather skiver writing insert with black tooling and has three frieze drawers above a central knee hole (knee hole size 23 ½ inches high and the same in width). This wonderful desk has panelled sides and back with reeded edges, the pedestals with three graduating drawers, the right hand side pedestal looks to have three drawers but the two bottom drawers are in fact one large drawer for files etc. The desk stands on eight carved claw and ball feet, the drawers with brass swan neck handles. For easy moving and transport the desk splits into three sections. The oak has an unusual finish with a striking, grain giving it a very contemporary look but will look great in any home or office.
