Oak Horseshoe Mirror
Oak Horseshoe Mirror
31691
Antique Victorian Oak Horseshoe Mirror & Whip Rack.
A charming novelty hall mirror crafted in the shape of a horseshoe, beautifully made from solid oak and full of period character.
This unusual antique piece features the original mirror set within a brass mount which is then set in to the oak horseshoe-shaped frame, decorated with eight cast copper-coloured hooks modelled as horseshoe nails. Designed as both a mirror and a practical hall rack, the hooks are ideal for hanging riding crops, hats, scarves, or other accessories.
The original mirror remains in place and displays some age-related foxing, adding to the authenticity and charm of this wonderful piece.
The mirror is currently hung with the horseshoe facing downward, although it could easily be displayed the other way for those who prefer the traditional, luck-bringing orientation.
