A wonderful library magazine and book rack, Canterbury. This well-made Arts and Crafts magazine or folio stand is made of English oak, having two fold out sprung hinged sides with decorative piercing, ideal for storing magazines, newspapers or artworks. It has the original brass top handle and has a bookshelf to the base (also useful for storing DVDs). The stand is in sturdy vintage condition and free from woodworm. There is no label, but stamped with a serial number '324'. This piece was advertised in the Liberty & Co. Yuletide gifts catalogue from 1903, it is also pictured on page 217 Daryl Bennett's book on Liberty antique furniture.
