Mahogany Two Tier Buffet, Side Table.
A good usable two tier what-not or buffet stand. The free standing set of shelves are constructed of mahogany, the four well turned corner supports with strong crisp fluting and raised on cup castors.
A nice clean and original example with original polished finish.
What-nots were exceedingly popular in the first three-quarters of the 19th century in England and were used for displaying china, ornaments or "what nots".
