Unusual Antique Table Hockey Game.
A boxed parlour Hockey (Hocker-ball) game for four, six, eight or more players. The box contains 22 hockey sticks (11 red and 11 green), one ball, 4 goal posts and an instructional booklet, issued by the 'Hocker Association' Crutched Friars, London, patent No 12460. The wooden Hocker sticks are 24 cm long and during play are held between the fore-finger and thumb in a manner similar to a pen. The ball is only playable by a player when in their own court or in the neutral ground directly opposite and it must always be kept moving when in a players' own court. It is usually played in two halves, each lasting ten minutes, it can also be played by an agreed number of goals being decided up on. A very unusual parlour game for all the family.
