16th Hole At Cypress Point By Arthur Weaver.
A good large golfing photolithograph taken from the original painting by Arthur Weaver; 16th Green at Cypress Point, published in 1984 by Sportsman's edge, Ltd. Signed in pencil by the artist. The picture depicts the spectacular par 3, 16th Hole, at the Cypress Point Golf Club. The hole is thought to be one of the greatest challenges in the game of golf. Course architect Alister Mackenzie gave the player two options, either to "go for it" and drive over the Pacific Ocean to the green or play safe and play to the fairway on the left. This is a very iconic hole with the green visible over the Ocean and with a lone storm bent tree to the left. Cypress Point Club is a private golf club in California, opened on August 11, 1928 and is located at the foothills of the Santa Lucia Mountains on the very tip of the Monterey Peninsula.
