Tea Plate Depicting Hunting Scene, Boar.
"Porcelaine Opaque De Gien" plate, 7" diameter, titled and with a hunting scene to the center. The plate is part of the series "Les Grandes Chasses" translated "Great Hunts", No. 12. There is a subtitle at the bottom of the plate "France - Chasse au Sanglier", (France - Wild Boar Hunting). The central scene of a hunter about to shoot a wild boar, two hunting dogs with him, in the background two hunters on horseback with another dog. On the rear of the plate "Porcelaine Opaque De Gien" around a shield surmounted by a crown. The edge of the plate is styled to look like basket weave.
There are five other plates available from the same series, all six are shown in the last image.
