Puma Folding Pocket Knife.
A great locking folding pocket knife by Puma of Germany, 970 Game Warden. The 9 ½ cm locking blade with sharp point and a nail groove to safely open the blade. The push release spring with factory stamped control number 26182, dating it to the 4th quarter of 1971. The blade etched '970 Puma-Game-Warden, New Stainless Super Keen Cutting Steel, Handmade - Germany'.

Each PUMA knife is factory stamped with a control number indicating in code the year and quarter of its manufacture. The coding system began in October 1964, any PUMA knife not bearing the control number was probably made prior to this date. Johann Wilhelm Lauterjung registered the PUMA trademark in 1769 with the Knifemaker's Guild in Solingen and started trading from a small shop on the Wupper river.
