Vintage luggage, Gladstone bag, Kit Bag.
A traditional square mouth brown leather 'Gladstone' bag with stiff sides and cloth interior. The bag is made of pigskin leather, fitted with drop down clips at both ends, a two push button brass lock and five brass studded feet. The bag has a very good decorative appeal, although the interior is a little stained it is in a usable condition.

Gladstone bags are named after the 19th cent British Prime Minister William Ewart Gladstone; the bags are usually constructed of leather fitted over a metal frame.
