Leather Traveler's Bag.
A well traveled brown leather square mouth 'Gladstone' bag with pig skin leather interior. The luggage with plenty of colourful paper travel labels giving it a very good decorative appeal. The bag is fitted with sliding brass lock clips at both ends with and a central push button brass lock, five brass studded feet and a central carry handle. The lid is in two parts and opens to reveal an interior fitted with leather straps to secure in place glass bottles, brushes etc., all that a traveller would need (although none of the items are present).
Gladstone bags are named after the 19th cent British Prime Minister William Ewart Gladstone; the bags are usually constructed of leather fitted over a metal frame.
