Folding Library Pole Ladder.
A wonderful 19th century space saving library ladder made in teak. By the means of an ingenious mechanism the six rungs fold into the body of the ladder creating a pole. The wooden rungs of the ladder have brass caps at each end. This is an interesting and useful piece made during the late colonial period and the ladders are sometimes referred to as elephant pole ladders.
