This is a very nice 1000cc motorcycle, low mileage, and the last owner has had it since 1990. The model is the R100RS Motorsport which had a special paint application. The bike is in fairly original condition.
Back in 1977 BMW employed designer Hans Muth to create the ultimate Sports Tourer, the outcome was the R100RS. Today the model is still a fantastic long distance tourer with an impressive top speed of 125 mph and the ability to cruise at a 100mph for hours on end. This can not be said about many bikes from that era. A great classic that needs little maintenance with parts available at reasonable prices.
The bike is very usable, comes with a bill of sale from December 1990 when the last owner purchased it. Numbers are matching. Date of first registration in GB is 1990, previously said to have been in a collection in Jersey. So most probably only two owners from new. Many Mot cert. from 1990 onward are present. 32000 miles only.
A great opportunity to own a true classic from the 70's.
