Mounted European Mouflon Ram Taxidermy Shoulder Mount.
The Hungarian Mouflon is mounted onto a wooden shield carved with oak leaves, acorns and a central plaque painted with the inscription 'MATRA, Kisnana, 12.XI.59'. This is an outstanding Mouflon Ram Sheep taxidermy shoulder mount with great detailing throughout. The mouflon is a beautiful animal, has superb quality hair, is set in an upright position looking straight ahead with a fabulous set of symmetrical curved horns that appear almost heart-shaped when viewed head-on.

The mouflon (Ovis orientalis orientalis group) is a subspecies group of the wild sheep (Ovis orientalis). Populations of O. orientalis can be partitioned into the mouflons (orientalis group) and the urials (vignei group). The mouflon is thought to be the ancestor for all modern domestic sheep breeds (Wikipeadia).
