Big Game Taxidermy, Nyala by Hunters & Collectors.
This prepared game trophy shoulder mount is of a Nyala, it may not be antique but it is an impressive piece of taxidermy. The Nyala is looking slightly to his right and is prepared by Hunters & Collectors of South Africa for Dr. John Sale.

The Nyala (Nyala angasii or Tragelaphus angasii), also called Inyala, is a spiral-horned and middle-sized antelope native to southern Africa. This rather large antelope inhabits dense woodlands and thickets along permanent water. It is very secretive and more easily seen at night. The coat is rusty or rufous brown in females and juveniles, but grows a dark brown or slate grey, often tinged with blue, in adult males. Females and young males have ten or more white stripes on their sides. Only males have horns.
