A nice modern hunting trophy, a prepared Roebuck shoulder mount. The Roe deer (Capreolus capreolus) head is with the start of growth of a pair of antlers and mounted onto a wooden shield. The deer head is looking straight ahead.
The Roe deer is the smallest and most elegant native deer in Europe. They are shy animals and are active mainly at night, spending the day in cover.
