A cased roach in a nice bow fronted case with gilt lines. The case contains a cleverly modelled roach set against a painted backdrop with realistic river bed setting. There is a small paper label internally, top left which reads 'Roach taken by Mr. G. Pruden at Goring, Feb 13th 1887. Weight 1 lb 10 ozs.'.
Bow front cases are more sought after than any other type, the float glass shows off the fish nicely and gives a greater impression of water.
