High-Quality Leather Overnight and Attaché Case by W. Insall & Sons, Bristol
An exceptional leather overnight and attaché case crafted from strong, durable leather and fitted with sturdy carrying handles and a brass lock by W. Insall & Sons of Bristol. A fine example of quality craftsmanship, the case opens neatly through the centre, allowing both halves to lie fully open for easy access. The interior is beautifully finished in rich red Morocco leather, adding an elegant touch to its practical design.
One side offers generous space for overnight essentials, while the other is fitted with a leather flap incorporating three compartments for envelopes and two smaller slots intended for stamps. The central compartment bears the maker's label, W. Insall & Sons, 19 & 20 St. Augustine's Parade, Bristol, while three leather loops below were designed to hold pencils. Secured by a leather thong and brass button, the flap opens to reveal an additional compartment behind, most likely intended for writing paper.
The exterior is also stamped with the maker's name on each lateral side of the lid, further attesting to its quality and provenance.
