Antique English Oak Skis.
A nice pair of rare English skis with metal toe irons and leather straps. The curved tips of the skis having an unusual design, possibly unique. The skis are constructed of oak with a top layer of pine.
These skis were commissioned by Herbert Harrison of Richmond (North Yorkshire) for his wife. The unique design introduces an extra piece of wood at the tip of the main ski, thus preserving the ski tip more efficiently. The skis were used in West Fields, the open hillside above and to the west of Richmond.

Ski poles are sold separately and are available on request.
