A good 'Stubai' ice axe, the handle is made from ash with a good steel pick (slightly serrated) and with a good wide adze. It comes with a rubber protector for the spike and leather covers for the head. This is a fine quality ice pick in excellent condition with both metal and wood having a good patina. The head is stamped 'ALBERT LUTZ AG TEUFEN' with the diamond 'STUBAI' logo.
