A fine lithograph depicting a skier in the solitude of a Norwegian landscape by Fridtjof Wedel Jarlsberg Nansen. The print is signed in pencil and inscribed 'To Sir James and Lady Irvine with hearty good wishes for Christmas and New Year from their affectionate friend Friedtjof Nansen. Sir James was the Vice Chancellor of the University or St. Andrews. Circa 1900.
