Vintage Bronze Running Figure.
A very nice French Art Deco style sculpture of an athlete. The poise of the runner suggest he has just crossed the finish line. This bronze statue has a wonderful colour and patina. The bronze is signed on the round base 'J. Dunach' (José Dunach).
Jose Dunach (1886-1957) was born in Barcelona and later moved to Paris. He was renowned for his bronzes of dancers and sportsmen and exhibited in numerous Paris Salons.
