Collection Of 38 Framed Fishing Flies.
A wonderful collection of gut eyed salmon flies tied in the traditional patterns. The colourful dressed salmon flies are mounted in ten framed and glazed displays boxes, many have their name written below them in ink. The collection was bought in 2000 and it took the collector (Frank Whyman) over two years to obtain all the flies. The named gut salmon flies are:- Double White Tip, Yellow Eagle, Black Doctor, Copper King, Black Ranger, Hunter Whitewing, Doon, Glentane, Wasp, Spean, Tawny Abbey, Butcher, Claret, Inchquin, Olive Dun, Amber Teal, Onodago, Dark Cahill, Cadogan, Benchill, Dirty Orange, Rainbow, Mar Lodge, Black Dose, Grey Doctor, Logie, grey logie, Silver Blue, Dawn Beard & Whisper.
The flies are old flies, some gut eyed that have been mounted and framed.
