Vintage Slater's Nottingham Starback Wooden Fishing Reel.
A large 7" Slater pattern Nottingham Starback centre pin sea fishing reel made of walnut. The front plate with six holes drilled in it to reduce weight, fitted with two twin horn handles mounted on brass eye plates, a brass spool back plate, brass foot and star back with optional check lever and central tension brass wing nut. No makers mark but the wooden Nottingham starback reels were first produced by David Slater.
The reel is in good clean condition.
Width size shown is without handles, handles are an extra 2½cm.

Reel in good clean condition. Not totally free spinning and there is a crack to the back plate. The line guard is missing.
