Antique Folding Game Board Box for Checkers, Chess, or Backgammon.
A late 19th century wooden folding combined backgammon, draughts and chess board. The chess / checkers / draughts board made of sycamore squares (plain and black), the interior with a felt backgammon board. To complete the set there are two leather dice shakers and a full set of black and plain counters, checkers (5 cm diameter), enough for backgammon or draughts. The main box made of walnut with ebony and boxwood stringing. Possibly French in origin.
