Pair Of Spelter Tennis Statues, Male & Female Players.
A fine detailed matching pair of bronzed figures of a lady and gentleman playing tennis. The man dressed in long trousers, the shirt with rolled up sleeves, lady in a long flowing dress. The figures are made from spelter and are in good condition, both are mounted on marble bases. The male tennis player raised upon black plinth base, female raised upon veined block plinth base, both rackets are detachable.
Spelter is a white metal alloy cast in the lost wax process.
The size shown is for the male player who's base is 2 ½ cm high.
The lady measures 25 cm (base 5 cm) high, 14 cm wide and 19 cm deep.

The figures bear some minor surface wear. There is a crack in spelter plinth below female players foot and the gentleman's ankle has been repaired.
