Antique Silver Tennis Racket Paper Clip.
An Edwardian silver sprung-loaded paper clip in the form of a flat top tennis racket with open stringing. The well made racket is mounted onto an oak back board, made by Adie & Lovkin Ltd of Birmingham, hallmarked 1905.

Adie & Lovekin Ltd manufactured a wide range of silver goods at the end of the 19th century and had a factory in Birmingham. Their speciality was in novelty silver items such as vesta cases, whistles, button hooks, pin cushions, babies' rattles and bookmarks etc. They began their business as Adie & Lovekin before 1872 and became Adie & Lovekin Ltd in 1889.
