Rare Dean Lawn Tennis Court Tape Measure.
This useful tool is made of brass with a wooden back and has a 78' canvas tape and was made by Dean-Bedington, London and has the DEAN trademark. The paper label applied to one side shows the measurements of a singles and doubles lawn tennis court with the net height and post positions. Anyone with a lawn large enough could purchase a complete boxed set with the necessary equipment and set up a lawn tennis court. This was a vital piece of equipment to mark out your own court on your lawn accurately.
