A fine and rare example of a ball tail lawn tennis racket by Bussey 'The Tournament 3'. A nice 'Light' ash framed racket with convex wedge. The wedge is embossed in gilt 'The Tournament ' with the Bussey logo 'GEO.G.BUSSEY&Co.' at the top of the handle. The racket has a good straight frame with the original shoulder whipping and the unusual ball tail handle.

Excellent, the head is not warped but is also not symmetrical. May have been made like this or may have moved over time, it is after all over 100 years old. Over all frame slightly bowed as does not lay flat. Difficult to find a better example.
