A very unusual and collectable Golf Club, a 45 Degree Torpedo Driver.
A rare and unusual shaped hickory shafted driver. The center shafted persimmon wood head with partial brass sole plate, wide on the leading edge, face, and tapers to the rear with a slightly curved sole. The hickory shaft goes all the way through the head and is at a 45° angle.
This is very reminiscent of Francis Brewster's 1897 Simplex clubs.
