Vintage Hand-carved Wooden Austrian Skier.
A good ski figurine statue carved from wood. The male figure is seen standing holding his ski poles in one hand and his skis in the other, it has been nicely modelled and painted. The base has a brand 'HolzKunst Obergurgl, BS' and the model number 0175. The 'BS' is for Bernhard Scheiber. The figure is on the original wooden base which has been engraved 'Herrn Winter Fur 50 Jahre Treue Zu Obergurgl 1998', rough translation 'Mr. Winter for 50 years of loyalty to Obergurgl, 1998'. The base could easy be removed or reversed.
