Early Lawn Tennis Racket.
This racket has all the signs of an early lawn tennis racket even though it is not a lopsided racket (tilt head). It is light and delicate like a Sphairistike racket, the stringing looks original and the handle has a white kid grip. The frame is very unusual as it is not the ash frame one comes to expect, but is an exotic dark hardwood. The period gut stringing has had two horizontal strings replaced, but this is quite acceptable for a racket of this age. In all this is a fine and unusual lawn tennis racket.
