Vintage 7 ft. Two Piece Hardy Trout Fly Rod, The 'C.C. de France'.
The Hardy 'C.C. de France' is a split cane Palakona 2-piece rod made by Hardy's of Alnwick. The rod is in very good used condition with red silk whippings, suction joints, adjustable universal alloy reel holder, and 8" cork handle. It has the registration number E90879 dating it to 1953. The rod is 7' long and is in the original Hardy's canvas bag. The rod has the painted black inscription spiralling around the shaft 'the 'C.C. de France', 'Palakona' and 'Regd. Trade Mark.'. The butt and end rings are Agate, intermediate are snake rings.
