Vintage 9' Hardy Trout Fly Fishing Rod, JJH Triumph.
The Hardy 'J.J.H.Triumph' is a split cane Palakona 3-piece rod made by Hardy's of Alnwick, with spare tip, it is in good condition with suction joints, sliding universal alloy band reel fitting, cork handle and snake rings. The rod has the registration number E90856 dating it to 1955. The 9' long fly fishing rod is in the original Hardy's canvas bag, with label and has the black inscription spiralling around the shaft 'the 'J.J.H. Triumph, 'Palakona' and 'Regd. Trade Mark'. Hardy were the first manufacturer to make split cane rods in hexagonal form as The Hardy 'Palakona' rod.
Measurements of the four pieces, handle 92cm - 2nd piece 92cm - tip No.1 89½cm - tip no.2 83cm.
